The Haight-Ashbury Street Fair is not exactly the place to show up looking overly considered.

It’s music, vintage, color, counterculture, people watching and the particular kind of anything goes energy that still feels very San Francisco.

So the striped wide leg trousers felt right. Then came the cropped fur trimmed jacket, brown boots and fuzzy little bag. A little ’70s, a little Western, a little ridiculous and somehow completely normal once you’re standing on Haight Street.

WHY IT WORKS

The trousers are the obvious focal point, so everything else works around them rather than competing.

The cropped jacket balances the exaggerated width of the pants, and repeating brown in the jacket, bag and boots gives the outfit a consistent frame.

The stripes make the statement. The textures make it feel finished.
