For a fashion show at the W, I wanted the styling itself to be visible.

I customized the blazer with silver metallic fringe along the collar, then wore it as a top rather than a jacket. One side falls off the shoulder, the waist is pulled in and secured with a brooch, and the opposite sleeve is pushed up at the elbow. The asymmetry was intentional.

Underneath, I layered two skirts: a long, fluid, almost sheer skirt first, then the heavily embroidered mini over it. Keeping the clothing in ivory let the different surfaces and proportions do most of the work.

The red Prada and fuchsia Manolos were the color break. I’ve always liked red and fuchsia together. The oversized gold earrings finished it at the same volume as the rest of the look.
