ABOUT

STYLE SHOULD LOOK LIKE YOU

What I wear changes how I feel. When I love my outfit, I am in a better mood. I feel more confident, more energized and sometimes unstoppable. Compliments are nice, but they are not the point. I dress for myself.

Even if I am only picking up the dry cleaning or walking through the neighborhood for coffee, I want what I wear to carry my personal touch.

A. MYRACLE is about finding that feeling in your own wardrobe. Use more of what you already own. See familiar pieces differently. Buy selectively. Develop a point of view that feels unmistakably like you.

The eye behind A. Myracle

I’m Annie Myracle, founder and editor of A. MYRACLE.

In 2018, I began cataloging my wardrobe digitally and tracking what I actually wore. It changed the way I shopped. I could see which pieces earned their place in my closet, which ones sat untouched and when I already owned a version of something I was considering buying.

That practice became especially useful while traveling frequently for work. I was often moving from hotel to hospital to airport, sometimes returning home for only one night before leaving again. My clothes needed to be appropriate for work, comfortable enough for travel and versatile enough to repeat without feeling repetitive.

It taught me that a useful wardrobe is not necessarily a large one. It is one you understand.

A. MYRACLE grew from that practice. It is an editorial archive of outfits I actually wear, why they work and how a styling idea can be interpreted rather than copied.

The name is mine, but it also captures what I love about getting dressed: the small transformation that happens when familiar pieces suddenly feel new.

A POINT OF VIEW, NOT A UNIFORM

Personal style is not about finding someone whose wardrobe you can copy.

It is about understanding what caught your attention, whether it was the proportion, color, tension, attitude or unexpected combination, and translating that idea through your own closet, budget and life.

Clothes say something before you do. The goal is never to turn you into a version of me. It is to help you look and feel more like yourself, in a way specific enough that the outfit could only belong to you.

CLOTHES ARE MATERIAL, NOT INSTRUCTIONS

A garment is not finished just because you bought it. Add fringe or ruffles. Embellish it with accessories. Use ten brooches instead of one. Pin a shirt into a different shape or wear it upside down. Wear a tie as a tie, turn it into a belt or add a bolo tie where no one expects one.

Pair the blazer with a hoodie. Finish the polished outfit with the “wrong” shoes. Sometimes the element that should not work is exactly what makes the outfit work.

Alter it, layer it, fasten it differently and stop letting the category on the label decide what it can become. The possibilities are endless once you stop treating the original design as a limit.

BEHIND THE WARDROBE ARCHIVE

I use ALTA and Stylebook to catalog my wardrobe, plan outfits and pack for travel. Some garment images throughout A. MYRACLE come from my digital ALTA closet and retain the app’s watermark.

This is an independent use of the platforms.

A. MYRACLE is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ALTA or Stylebook.
